A new year brings new beginnings and sometimes new opportunities to enjoy a date night! If you're thinking about what to wear while going out on a winter's day (like Valentine's Day) or evening, then look no more. You can still wear your favorite lace dress but add over-the-knee boots and socks along with an amazing jacket. For this styling, I've selected such a cute, short babydoll dress with bell sleeves. I added a tarnished silver necklace with rings of the same metal. The beading on the panama hat matches the jewelry, and all three together bring a sophistication to the outfit. This Aztec-print jacket is cozy warm with a faux fur trimmed hood and a high-low hem. I'm all about a girl having fun, mixing textures and accessories. Speaking of fun, I had my hair ombréd. :) I'm hoping you're loving February, having a blast, and being bold! Xoxo, Shelly

Growing up in sunny Arizona surrounded mostly by junipers and scrub oak, I sure enjoy a day of adventure with pine treed forests and glistening patches of snow. One of the best things about my quaint hometown is the variety of the environment within a twenty minute drive--from desert to forest. Kinda incredible, right? If you didn't know, winter is still here in northern AZ, with overcast skies, snow flurries, and a slight promise of spring soon to come with a warmer day thrown in once in awhile just to tease us. To stay cozy, I'm loving layering with a graphic tee and faded chambray shirt. The graphic design of an elephant against a zodiac-inspired background is beautiful on this knit top. Add a warm, vegan leather jacket with faux shearling lining and you are ready for outdoor adventure. Are you still liking the flaired jean look with high heeled boots? Me too! I have to let you know that these booties are amazing. After walking around in the snow and mud, I gently brushed off the faux suede when I got home, and they still look like new. To complete the look, I added burnished metal rings--a vintage look that never goes out of style. :) Xoxo, Shelly

Ever have one of those days when everything seems to come together? For this styling, I selected some of my favorite pieces from some of my favorite sponsors and couldn't have been happier with the result. From the most comfortable, quality leather boots by Guess to the oh-so-perfectly-torn jeans by Blue Faith Denim, I'm loving this indie look. I've been looking for denim with the knees torn out for awhile and along came these little beauties. With Valentine's Day around the corner, this sheer, feminine top by Yoyo Melody is a perfect day or night addition; I especially love the high-low ruffle design. Next, you cannot beat a cozy sweater with a retro styling; if you haven't experienced Kersh clothing, you must check them out. For the ultimate go-to tote, this caramel color bag by Under One Sky is one of my favorites. To top it off, I selected a feather-banded panama hat.
Now, let's talk tech accessories. I was asked to select a pair of earbuds or headphones by the Swedish company Happy Plugs. I selected the prettiest, best fitting, awesome sounding, rose gold, in-ear headphones. In addition, I selected a matching cellphone case that I constantly get compliments on. I totally recommend this pretty duo for sound, comfort, and style.
Besides the clothes, some of you are asking more about my days at NAU. What can I say? I'm a frantic university student who is working hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA, to keep my creative side happy through my blogging, and to stay healthy physically and emotionally. I do hope to find more time to relax--hiking through the woods helps, but I'm looking forward to warmer spring weather.
Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you! Xoxo, Shelly
